As public transportation to Labuan Jambu is limited, we provide a complete package including land and sea transfers, accommodation, and guided activities.
Teluk Saleh in Sumbawa is one of Indonesia’s most reliable locations for whale shark sightings. These gentle giants often appear around 6:00 AM when local fishermen raise their nets, releasing plankton into the water and attracting whale sharks to the area.
Detailed Itinerary – 2D1N Whale Shark Tour (Start & End in Lombok)
Day 1 – Overland Transfer from Lombok to Sumbawa
- 10:00 AM – Pick Up: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Mataram, Senggigi, or Lombok International Airport.
- 12:00 PM – Ferry Crossing: Arrive at Kayangan Harbor in East Lombok and board a ferry to cross over to Poto Tano Harbor in Sumbawa.
- 02:00 PM – Road Trip to Labuan Jambu: Upon arrival in Sumbawa, continue your journey by private car to Labuan Jambu village (approx. 5 hours).
- 08:00 PM – Hotel Check-In: Arrive in Labuan Jambu and check in at a local guesthouse or homestay. Rest and prepare for an early start.
Day 2 – Whale Shark Encounter & Return to Lombok
- 03:30 AM – Early Morning Wake-Up: Get ready and transfer to the local pier to board a traditional boat operated by local fishermen.
- 05:30 AM – Search for Whale Sharks: Arrive in the floating platform (bagan) area in Teluk Saleh and search for whale shark sightings. Once found, our boat will anchor near the bagan where whale sharks are present.
- 06:00 AM – Snorkeling & Breakfast: Start snorkeling and swimming alongside the majestic whale sharks. A light breakfast will be served onboard or at the bagan platform.
- 08:00 AM – Return to Labuan Jambu: Head back to the village after an incredible experience.
- 10:00 AM – Hotel Check-Out: Freshen up, pack, and check out of your accommodation.
- 10:30 AM – Transfer to Poto Tano Harbor: Depart Labuan Jambu for a scenic 5-hour drive back to Poto Tano Harbor.
- 03:00 PM – Ferry to Lombok: Board the ferry from Poto Tano to Kayangan Harbor in Lombok.
- 05:00 PM – Return Transfer: Upon arrival in Lombok, our team will transfer you back to your hotel in Mataram or Senggigi.
- 07:00 PM – Arrival at Hotel: Tour ends. Enjoy your evening with unforgettable memories of swimming with whale sharks.

Please note that whale shark sightings are a natural event. If no whale sharks are spotted during your tour, we will refund IDR 1,000,000 from your total payment as part of our commitment to customer satisfaction.
